{meet the volunteers: Apotheca Flower Shoppe}

Oh, I so love me a beautiful bouquet. And no one does a bouquet more beautiful than Alyssa Van Guilder, owner of Goffstown's Apotheca Flower Shoppe. Lara and I have been lucky enough to work with Alyssa before for a My Kate Parker Wedding project, and she's not only incredibly talented, but such a sweetheart. Alyssa will be giving us some lovely bouquets to work with tomorrow. So exciting! Some of her work:

{meet the volunteers: Leah Curran, photographer}

Meet Leah Curran, owner of Unveiling Photography and artiste extraordinaire! Leah will be working with us tomorrow (holy cow...tomorrow!) to document the ladies getting ready at Salon Aquavit, and we're so happy to have her aboard. Her work shows a real range of sensitivity and humor. Some of her favorite pieces - take a look at the color! Yum!

{meet the volunteers: Natural Designs by Suzanne Sampson}

If there's one thing we love about weddings at Studio Nouveau, it's the flowers.... we can't get enough of the bouquets, the centerpieces, the boutonnieres. And we know a ton of super-talented florists, many of whom will be supplying our Come Together couples with bouquets and bouts this weekend! First up, we have Suzanne Sampson and Natural Designs, a Plaistow, NH-based florist. Suzanne has a real flair for color and style; she's a New Hampshire Master Floral Designer and is accredited with the American Institute of Floral Designers. Here's some of her work:

{meet the volunteers: Gus & Ruby Letterpress}

Portsmouth is one of my favorite towns in New Hampshire. I'll pretty much make up any excuse to get myself over there. So, even if Gus & Ruby Letterpress wasn't one of the cutest dang shops in town, I probably would have tried to find a reason to visit while scouting for Come Together vendors...luckily for me, if you want the best in local letterpress, G&R is the place to visit! Not only do Samantha and Whitney (the owners of the shop - Gus and Ruby are their canine companions) stock the most charming invitations and prints that I've seen, but they do their own design and print work as well. Take a look at some of their work!

{meet the volunteers: The Currier Museum of Art}

And now, for the long-awaited and crucial announcement of where Come Together will be taking place: The Currier Museum of Art in Manchester!

Can you believe it?

When we started out on this journey, we had no idea how many wedding professionals would be open to donating their time and resources for the cause. It was fairly easy to approach our colleagues, many of whom have become great friends, but at a certain point we had to put it all on the line and find a location for the shoot itself. That was a daunting task for me. Would anyone consider our event "real enough" and give it a home?
Luckily for us, Lisa Pavlopoulous, Manager of Events at the Currier Museum of Art, was taken with the message behind Come Together, and worked hard on our behalf to present our idea to the Board of Directors. She and the museum's staff have been nothing but a delight to work with through this whole process!

Here they are, our liaisons... Lisa and Michelle, Currier Staff Extraordinaire.

Take a look at some of the locations we'll have access to for the photo shoots...they'll take your breath away.

The Currier passes along these words for our brides and grooms:
"The Currier Museum of Art is pleased to be the venue selected by Studio Nouveau for the Coming Together Event, offering a beautiful backdrop for the newly married couples who will be participating in re-creating their wedding day formals. Lisa Pavlopoulos, Manager of Events, felt the museum, rich in history and architecture, would be the perfect set for the couples to create their photographic history via wedding pictures. As visitors stroll through the galleries and enjoy the museum’s internationally-respected collection of art, they will be able to see the wedding couples in their formal attire throughout the museum, including photo shoots taking place in the 1929 Historic Court. Cameras will be snapping away as the newlyweds recreate their first kiss on the landing of the museum’s grand marble staircase, and love will be in the air as couples are surrounded by the master works of Picasso, Matisse, Monet, and O’Keeffe … to name a few.

We wish the couples the best of luck in their future and thank ALL of the vendors involved in “Coming Together” and representing the professionalism of their respective professions."

Words can't even express how thankful we are to Lisa, Michelle, and everyone at the Currier for working with us. They've been more than generous, and this is going to be a great day for everyone, made even better for their participation! Thanks so much to all of you!

{meet the volunteers: Someone Creative}

This next volunteer is someone near and dear to our hearts here at Studio Nouveau....The wonderful, uber-talented Liz Abbate, Creative Director of graphic design studio Someone Creative.

A little bit about the company:
Someone Creative offers creative marketing and design strategy to clients who need to grab the attention of the right people using the best message, mode and means. We focus on everything from logos and websites to brochures, annual reports, tradebooths and invitations (of course!).

We will be launching a new section of our website soon devoted to just our announcement/event/invitation design work, but meanwhile please check out our full portfolio at someonecreative.com or call 617-460-5535.

"We are taking part in Come Together because we love making people happy and the best people at it are Lara and Kate at Studio Nouveau," Liz says. "We've had so much fun helping them with their logo and marketing materials that when they asked for help designing stuff for this event, we immediately said (screamed?) Yes!"

Not only do we turn to Someone Creative for all of our design work at the Studio, but Liz designed our branding, logo, and invitations for Come Together! Take a peek at some of her work:

That's right, she even designed Lara's very own wedding invitations, programs, and other materials! So cute, right?

{meet the volunteers: Sharon Curole}

Today, we have a very special new part of Come Together to announce...a group renewal of the vows with Manchester Justice of the Peace, Sharon Curole!

I spoke to Sharon for some time today, and I knew she'd be the right person to bring all of the couples together for this moment; she's obviously completely into connecting with people, and she loved the idea of the event.

"I would be Honored to officiate at your wedding," Sharon says. "When we combine intimacy with spirituality and romance, together we will create an unforgettable and unique ceremony filled with peace, joy, love and a touch of humor if that suits you." She sounds perfect for us, right? That's what we thought!

Anyone who'd like to get in touch with Sharon can reach her at weddingswithspirit@comcast.net. We can't wait to work with you, Sharon, and thanks so much for being such a big part of the day!
